The Journey
Like many, I've always been captivated by the beauty and wonder of the night sky. One August evening in 2022, as I stood beneath the glow of a full moon, I felt an compelling pull to explore the cosmos more deeply. That spark of inspiration soon led me to my first outdoor astronomy event - a night that marked the beginning of an incredible journey.
At the shores of Lake Erie, (that's me) gazing up at the Milky Way.
Since then, I've been blessed to have had so many treasured experiences with astronomy, including:
- Attending astronomy events
- Observing celestial wonders through binoculars and telescopes
- Connecting with others in the astronomy community
- Sharing the joy of astronomy through the web and social media
- Journeying to dark sky preserves, where the night sky truly comes alive
- Witnessing comets, as well as the Perseid meteor shower
- Delving into various types of astrophotography
- Witnessing the awe-inspiring 2024 total solar eclipse, and
- Witnessing both partial and total lunar eclipses
